Robert Vohra Attorney Has Extensive Experience In Private Legal Practice

Robert Vohra Attorney is the President of Sherwood Capital Corporation, a leading financial services firm that provides a complete range of financial planning including loan modification, debt restructuring, and other wealth management services.  Robert Vohra spent over 20 years in private legal practice in California, New York, and Washington, D.C., and has substantial experience in domestic & international tax law, transactional law and general corporate representation. His clients included high-net worth individuals and businesses ranging from small to midsized privately held companies to large publicly traded corporations.  He is also a Managing Director at Longstreet Worldwide LLC, an international real-estate and energy investment banking company based in Los Angeles, California.

Prior to that, Robert Vohra Attorney was a partner with Vohra & Associates, PLLC, where he offered general corporate representation on various commercial matters including bankruptcy, tax, securities and construction law.  He was previously a partner with Thiemann, Aitken & Vohra, LLC, in Alexandria, VA where he provided tax advice to his clients, and represented them in audits and other tax controversies, and in commercial arbitration and litigation matters. He received favorable settlements in collection actions filed by two large Atlantic City casinos based on a novel defense theory.

Robert Vohra Attorney has also advised clients on compliance with SEC’s reporting requirements, and drafted private placement memoranda for exempt transactions. He assisted on a case challenging the constitutionality of New York’s franchise tax under the foreign commerce clause as applied to Canadian trucking companies.  Robert obtained his Master of Laws (Taxation) degree from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington D.C., with a concentration in International Taxation.  He also holds a J,D. from Georgetown University Law Center, where he was an Editor on the Georgetown Journal of Legal Ethics.

Robert Vohra Attorney has been admitted to the New York, California and District of Columbia bars, and also holds a real estate salesperson license and Life & Health insurance license in Virginia.
